Yvonne Pagel

Yvonne M. Pagel of Columbus died unexpectedly on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Yvonne M. Pagel was born December 18, 1939 in Mobridge, SD to Paul and Anna (Hendricks) Sack. She was the oldest of six children with 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Yvonne graduated from Reeder Public School in 1958. Yvonne then attended Beauty School in Fargo, ND. On June 4, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles Pagel in Reeder, ND.

Charles and Yvonne lived in Dickinson, ND while Charles attended college. Yvonne became the mother of 2 boys, Tracy and Gregg. Throughout her years, she moved with her husband from North Dakota to Iowa and then relocating to Columbus in 1971. Yvonne worked as a beauty operator, bookkeeper, and employee of the NPPD Credit Union, as well as being a wonderful, active, stay at home mother with her boys.

Yvonne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed having coffee with friends, gardening, studying and teaching the Bible, baking for her whole family, shopping with her sister Wanda and her grandchildren, and texting and talking to her special grandson Cody. Yvonne also loved spending time with her husband.
