William "Bill" Moore died Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk, Nebraska.
William "Bill" Moore was born June 12, 1935 in St. Edward, NE to Jim and Jean (Webster) Moore. He grew up in the St. Edward area and graduated from St. Edward High School. Bill served in the US Army from 1956-1958. On November 29, 1958, Bill was united in marriage to Barbara Sock in Silver Creek, NE. Bill worked at Behlen Manufacturing, Moorman Feed and at Industrial Engineering. Most recently, Bill worked at Columbus Public Schools as a crossing guard and delivered meals. He enjoyed playing ball, attending Columbus High and Nebraska sporting events, and was an avid joke teller. Bill was a Boston Red Sox fan and spent many years coaching and officiating. He was a very proud father and grandpa to his children and grandchildren. Bill was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the American Legion.
