William (Jim) Gregorius, age 74, of St. George, Utah passed away on October 18, 2015, at his home from a rare skin cancer, Merkel Cell Carcinoma.
Jim was born May 21, 1941, in Pawnee City, Nebraska to William (Bill) and Doris Gregorius. He married Janice Miessler in Columbus, Nebraska at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church on November 16, 1963. Jim was raised in Columbus, Nebraska, graduating from St. Bonaventure Catholic High School. He attended Milford Tech Trade School, Commercial Flight School in Norfolk, Ne., and Sony Video School in California. He was employed at Eller Heating & Air Conditioning, Commercial co-pilot for Behlen Manufacturing, crop dusting for Bud's Flying Service and retired after 24 years with Nebraska Public Power District as the Audio-Visual Coordinator. Jim's interests included boating, flying, earning a Master Angler Award, rebuilding and customizing cars, traveling with their Great Dane to dog shows earning a Championship title and traveling car show circuits with his customized corvettes. Jim also enjoyed judging at various car show events along with conducting judges training clinics in Las Vegas, NV. He served two terms on the Columbus City Council, and under Governor Kay Orr appointed as an Admiral in the Nebraska Navy. Jim is a member of the St. George Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks and the Las Vegas Corvettes Association.
