Wilfred &Quot;Bill&Quot; F. Kresha

March 27, 1928 — June 30, 2011

Wilfred Bill F. Kresha, the son of Adolf and Eva (Karges) Kresha was born March 27, 1928 in rural Polk County, near Osceola. He graduated from Osceola High School. On July 4, 1949 he was united in marriage to Ursula Micek at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan, Nebraska. Bill delivered freight for Watson Brothers and when they closed in the Columbus area he transferred to St. Louis, MO where he was a dispatcher for one and half years, then moved back to Columbus. In Columbus he drove for Rapid Film Service, M & S Transfer and Arrow Freight Lines for a total of 33 years. He then worked for Mid America Chemical Reseach as a warehouse manager for 6 years. Bill and Urs owned Huddle Bar in Platte Center from 1981 until 1993. After he retired he worked for Enterprise Car Rental for 8 years. Bill enjoyed playing cards, trips to casinos and horse races. He was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus and a lifetime member of Eagles Club. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church.

Bill is survived by: Daughter Debbie Kresha of Columbus, NE, Son Jim (Shari) Kresha of Omaha, NE, Daughter Joyce Kresha of Columbus, NE, Son Mike Kresha of Omaha, NE, Daughter Connie (Danny) Schwab of Gering, NE; Sister Mary Lukassen of Kimball, NE, Sister Rita Kresha of Oakland, CA, Sister-in-law Elaine Kresha of Columbus, NE, Sister-in-law Irene Kresha of Columbus, NE, Sister-in-law Lucy Kresha of Columbus, NE, Sister-in-law Pat Kresha of Brighton, CO, Brother-in-law Gene Thomas of Kirk, CO, Brother-in-law Harold Witulski of Beatrice, NE, Grandson Dan (Katie) Kresha of Omaha, NE, Granddaughter Ellen Kresha of Omaha, NE; Granddaughter Laura Kresha of Omaha, NE, Grandson Rob (Laci) Kresha of Omaha, NE Grandson Jared Schwab of Gering, NE Step-grandson Jeff (Melissa) Schwab of Kearney, NE and 3 step-greatgrandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Ursula Kresha in 2003, Parents Adolf & Eva (Karges) Kresha, Sister Ann Hensel, Sister Rose Hilger, Sister Sophia Kresha, Sister Amelia Lukassen, Sister Cecelia Smagacz, Sister Patrica Thomas, Sister Lillian Witulski, Brother Adolf Kresha, Brother Leo Kresha, Brother Adrian Kresha, Brother Arthur Kresha, Brother Charles Kresha, Brother Frank Kresha, Brother Gayhart "Mike" Kresha, Brother George Kresha, Brother Martin Kresha, Brother John Kresha, Brother Walter Kresha.
