Walter Dush

Walter A. Dush, age 87, of rural Columbus, Nebraska died Monday, November 29, 2004 at the Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday December 3, 2004 at St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan with Reverend Frank Jindra officiating. Burial is in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation is 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus and after 6:00 p.m. Thursday with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at St. Stanislaus Church. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. also at the church.

Walter A. Dush was born September 13, 1917 to John and Victoria (Starostka) Dush in Duncan, Nebraska. He attended St. Stanislaus School. Walter married Esther Weidler on August 29, 1951 in Columbus, Nebraska. He farmed all his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, polka music, playing cards and wrestling. He was a lifetime member of St. Stanislaus Church and a member of Holy Name.
