Virginia Nosal

Virginia Nosal, age 86, of Meridian Gardens in Columbus died Monday at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Virginia M. Nosal was born September 14, 1922 in Cuba City, Wisconsin to Herbert and Rose (Welsh) Fiedler. She graduated from Cuba City High School in 1940. In 1945 she moved to California. Virginia married Benedict "Ben" Nosal on May 30, 1960 in Santa Fe Springs, California.She retired in 1983 after 19 years of being the office manager for Catholic Social Services in Whittier, California. In 1983, Virginia and Ben bought a cabin on a lake near Bellwood, Nebraska where they spent their summers enjoying the lake and visiting family and friends. They would spend their winters at their home in Banning, California. In November 2006 they relocated to Columbus to be near family. Virginia was a member of St. Isidore Church and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling, knitting, reading and gardening. Memorials may be directed to St. Isidore Church.
