Virginia Curry

Virginia Curry, of Columbus died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the age of 87, at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Federated Church. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. until service time at the Federated Church. Burial will be at the Columbus Cemetery followed by a reception at the Elks Country Club.

Virginia was born November 22, 1921 in Elgin, Nebraska to Albert "A.E." and Ernestine (Lindberg) Trowbridge. She married William A. Curry Jr. in October 1945. Along with raising her four children she was active in P.E.O. Virginia was an avid golfer and bridge player. She enjoyed reading, entertaining and traveled extensively. She maintained her home in Columbus as well as seasonal residences in California and Arizona.
