Virgil “Polka Dot” Sliva died Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Fullerton.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am Saturday December 6 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation is on Friday from 4-7 pm at St. Anthony Church with a 7:00 pm Vigil service to follow. Visitation continues Saturday morning from 9:00 am until service time at the church. Military Honors by the American Legion Post #84 Honor Guard and members of the US Marine Corp.
Virgil Sliva was born March 8, 1937, in Columbus to Joseph and Mary (Yelli) Sliva. Following school, he joined the US Marine Corp. Virgil was married to Lorraine Roschynialski for 55 years before her passing in 2019. They lived in St. Edward, Osceola, and Columbus. Virgil ran his own construction, welding, and millwright businesses along with owning the Polka Dot Lounge in St. Ed.
Virgil loved fishing, camping, and polkas. He always loved spending time at CK and at the Pawnee.
