Vincent E. Lempke, age 54 of Columbus died Sunday, May, 15, 2005 at the Lempke Farm southeast of Wallace, Nebraska

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wallace, with the Revs. Jim Benton and Joseph Miksch officiating. Burial is at Wallace Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the church. Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant is in charge of arrangements. Memorial services are 10 a.m. Monday at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus, with the Revs. Joseph Miksch and Don Wilson officiating. McKown Funeral Home in Columbus is in charge of local arrangements. Mr. Lempke was born Oct. 19, 1950, in McCook, to Alfred and Mildred (Schumer) Lempke. He attended school in Grainton and later graduated from Wallace High School in 1969. He attended North Platte Junior College and later graduated from Kearney State College, receiving his bachelor of science degree in 1973. He taught high school in Paxton and Monroe and received his masters of education degree from Kearney State College in 1977. He began his career as a college professor at Central Community College-Columbus in 1980. He was presently teaching math and physics at the college. He married Marilyn Henderson on July 24, 1999, in Holyoke, Colo. He was active in St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus, Harold Square dance club in Columbus, Single Wheelers club in Norfolk and RC Flyers Club in Columbus. Survivors include his wife; one sister, Margaret (Mark) Berry of Lamar; and one brother, David (Mary) Wallace.
