Vergel Cyza

Beloved husband, father and grandfather Vergel Anthony Cyza passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 in Omaha. Vergel was born February 6, 1939 to Lonny and Julia (Czarnick) Cyza in Genoa, NE. Verg attended grade school in Platte Center and graduated from Duncan in 1956. He married the love of his life, Carol Ann Konz, on September 25, 1965. They were married for almost 50 years and to this union, 6 children were born. Verg spent the majority of his career at Becton-Dickinson where he was employed for more than 30 years. He also worked with his siblings at Cyza Brothers Sand & Gravel where he happily spent many years pumping and delivering gravel. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could talk to just about anybody. He had many friends and family he loved to visit with in person or on the phone.

Vergel is survived by his wife, Carol Cyza of Omaha, son Greg & Katheen Cyza of Columbus; Lisa, DeAnna and Jenna, daughter Tracy & Jeff Ryan of Omaha; Evan and Kayleigh, son Chris Cyza of Omaha; Claire and Quinn, daughter Amy & Steven Racine of Omaha; Emery, son Jason Cyza of Omaha, two sisters Evelyn (John) Prososki of Clarks, Maxine (Al) Becker of Columbus, one brother, Ron (Yvonne) Cyza of Columbus and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Cyza, sister Marcy Konz, infant daughter, Kylie Ann and daughter-in-law Gina Cyza.
