Velma J. Keith of Silver Creek died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Columbus Care and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus, Nebraska.
Velma J. Keith was born April 3, 1928 in Palmer, Nebraska to Herman and Esther K. (Fuehrer) Aye. She was united in marriage to Harold E. Keith June 15, 1946 at the United Methodist Church in Genoa, Nebraska. To this union four children were born. The couple moved to the Silver Creek area in the early 1950s. Velma was a homemaker and worked at Dale Electronics and Becton Dickinson for 30 years until retiring. She was a member of the Silver Creek Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and baking. Velma was well known for the beautiful afghans she lovingly made and generously gave to her family and friends. They will be part of her legacy and allow the recipients to fondly remember her for many years to come.
