Valla &Quot;Val&Quot; J. Veach

Val died Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha.

Valla Jean Veach was born May 31, 1924 in Grand Island, Nebraska to George W. and Frances (Wolf) Kern. She attended grade school in Junction City, Kansas, Green River, Wyoming, Marysville, Kansas & Columbus, Nebraska. She graduated from Kramer High School in 1943. On October 13, 1946 Valla was united in marriage to Clarence F. Veach in Salina, Kansas. The couple resided 2 years in McCook, Nebraska before returning to Columbus. She worked for 30 years at Reed - Veach - Wurdeman & Associates, retiring in 1982. Valla was a member of the Federated Church and a life member of the V.F.W. #3704 Auxiliary. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
