Valerian Paczosa

Valerian died Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Genoa Community Hospital.

Valerian Paczosa was born January 16, 1921 in Sioux City, Iowa to Stanley and Mary (Markiewiecz) Paczosa. He graduated from Duncan in 1939. Valerian served in the U.S. Army during WWII from October 1942 January 1946. He did electrical and construction work for many years and also was employed at Behlen Manufacturing for 17 years. In 1971 Valerian married Katherine Gunderson-Shemek in Fullerton, Nebraska. He was a past member of St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan and a member of the Hartman Post #84 American Legion for 60 years. Valerian enjoyed walking, nature, farming and working in his shop.
