Valeria Liebig

Valeria K. Liebig, age 87, of Platte Center, Nebraska died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at her home. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center with Rev. Rodney Kneifl, Rev. Joseph Miksch and Rev. Tom Greisen officiating. Visitation is Friday after 5:00 p.m. at the church. A Vigil will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday evening also at the church. Visitation will continue Saturday morning 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery.

Valeria K. Liebig was born December 3, 1918 in rural Platte County to Hilger and Josephine (Wegener) Greisen. She married Adolph Liebig on September 6, 1938 at rural St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She lived in rural Platte Center her entire married life. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of St. Ann's Sodality. She spent her life enjoying her family and their activities, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her gardens, flowers and baking. She was an inspiration to all her family with her deep faith and trust in the Lord.
