Tonie Shockley was born June 6, 1924 in Colfax County to Henry and Rosie (Hejhal) Dietrich. She was raised on the farm and attended schools in Colfax County at District 4. On June 2, 1946 she was united in marriage to Edgar Shockley. Tonie lived in Schuyler, Genoa, and Columbus. She was a homemaker. Tonie enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, and bingo.
