Tom Hastings, Jr.

Tom Hastings, Jr., age 84, of Columbus, died Thursday, April 7, 2022, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Memorial services for Tom and his late wife, Joan, will be held at 1:00 Monday, April 11, 2022, at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation is 2:00-3:00 Sunday with a 3:00 Vigil service at the funeral home. Interment is in Roselawn Cemetery with the American Legion Hartman Post 84 Honor Guard providing Military Funeral Honors.

Tommy 'Tom' Hastings Jr. was born March 31, 1938, in Osceola to Tommy Sr. and Maud (DeVaul) Hastings. He attended and graduated from Osceola High School. Tom was united in marriage to Joan Schreiber on August 24, 1963, in Columbus. He worked as an accountant for many years. Tom enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and trips to the casino with his wife. He served in the U.S Navy and was a member of the American Legion Hartman Post 84.
