Thomas H. Podraza

Thomas Tom Podraza, age 80, of Columbus died Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Columbus Community Hospital.

Tom was born September 20, 1935 in Columbus, Nebraska to Michael and Adeline (Valasek) Podraza Sr. He graduated from Kramer High School in 1953. On April 27, 1957 Tom was united in marriage to Mary Lou Swerczek at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. Tom farmed and worked for Becton-Dickinson for 33 years until retiring. Following his retirement, Tom held social hour at Wunderlichs Catering since 1993. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Knight of Columbus #938, Pepetual Adoration, St. Bonaventure Prayer Group and helped serve funeral lunches. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends at Lake North. He loved spending time with his family and friends and attending his grandchildrens activities
