Thomas J. Meysenburg, age 86, of Columbus died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Morys Haven in Columbus.
Tom was born July 14, 1925 in Clarks, Nebraska to Leo and Anita (Koeller) Meysenburg. He moved with his family at the age of six to the Bellwood area. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1943. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1943-1946 on the USS Yorktown, CV8. Tom married Anna "Pat" Burke on August 28, 1952 in Coleridge, Nebraska. They farmed near Monroe, Platte Center and St. Edward. In 1978 they moved to Columbus. Tom worked at Behlen Mfg. , St. Bonaventure Church and Scotus High School for many years. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church where he sang in the funeral choir and the Knights of Columbus #938. He enjoyed gardening and fixing things.

Sons: Mark of Columbus and David (Shannon) of Lincoln, daughter: Cathy (Bill) Garbers of Columbus, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Brothers: Richard (Barbara) of Grand Junction, CO; Leo of Omaha, Arnold (Helen) of Lees Summitt, MO; Jim (Eva) of Baltimore, MD; Victor (Mary) of Maplewood, MN; sisters: Rosemary Reiter of Holdrege , Julie Hardy of Davenport, IA.
