Thomas James (TJ) McDonald, age 32 of Columbus, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at Columbus Community Hospital

Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation is Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at McKown Funeral Home. Interment is in Columbus Cemetery.

TJ was born October 12, 1993 in David City, Nebraska to Bob and Kathy (Miller) McDonald. TJ grew up in Columbus and received his education at Columbus High School class of 2012. He was skilled in mechatronics and gaming. He bravely fought cancer at the age of 14, 18, and 29. Half of his life- 16 years he fought. TJ was brave with a great heart and huge sense of humor. He adored his two nieces and his honorary niece and nephew. Gaming got him through his treatments along with laughter.

Brother- Jake (Haily) McDonald

Brother- Jess (Kaylei) McDonald

Two nieces- Charlotte and Eliza

Many aunts and uncles
