Theresa M. Wieser

Theresa (Zach) Wieser died peacefully on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. She was 88 years old.

Theresa was born on January 19, 1929, in Humphrey, NE, to Joe and Mary (Pfeifer) Zach, the 8th of 11 children. She grew up on the farm near Humphrey, graduating from St. Francis High School in 1948. Theresa was united in marriage to Luke T. Wieser at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church near Humphrey. To this union 14 children were born. The couple made their livelihood from farming before moving to Columbus, Nebraska in 1960. Theresa was a homemaker and worked at K-Mart for 10 years. She was a member of St. Anthony Church for 57 years where she sang in the choir, taught PRE and often led the rosary with Luke before the 10:30 Sunday mass. She was also a member of the Christian Mothers. Mom will always be remembered for her homemade cinnamon rolls, bread, and pickles.
