Theodore M. "Ted" Mimick, age 67 of Columbus, Nebraska died Monday May 21, 2001 at his home of natural causes.
Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday May 25, 2001 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Reverend Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Columbus with military honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard. Visitation is after 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Isidore Church. A Vigil Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Isidore Church. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at McKown
Funeral Home in Columbus.
Ted Mimick was born February 6, 1934 in Columbus, Nebraska to Peter P. and Rose (Siemek) Mimick. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High School and received his Associates Degree in business from Platte College. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from October 1953 - September 1957. He then married Joan Mikkelsen on January 30, 1966 in Columbus. Ted lived in Columbus where he was a independent building contractor and he was the original developer of the Prairie Lane Sub Division in Columbus. He was a member of the Hartman Post #84 American Legion, V.F.W. Post #3704, the Eagles Club, 18 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was past president of Columbus Home Builders Association.
