Thelma L. Johnson of Stromsburg, formerly of Columbus died Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.

Thelma Loray Johnson was born September 24, 1924 in Ulysses, NE to Oliver and Nettie (Andrew) Moore. She was raised in Ulysses and graduated from Ulysses high school in 1942. On April 12, 1957 she was united in marriage to Eril A. Johnson in Ulysses. She worked as a telephone operator and worked at the bank before moving to Columbus in 1962. She adopted her 4 children in 1968. In Columbus she worked at Schwesers and was a housewife. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. Thelma enjoyed gardening, traveling with her family and friends and selling automobiles.

She is survived by:

Sister: Ardythe Gronlund of Sidney, NE
Brother: Anson Moore of Columbus, NE
Sister: Zora Seick of Garland, NE
10 Grandchildren
6 Great Grandchildren
many nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by:
