Thelma Evans of Columbus died Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.

Thelma Evans was born February 1, 1921 in Lincoln, NE to Archie and Cora (Sherman) Cameron. She grew up in Ashland where she attended school. On July 27, 1942 she was united in marriage to Ernest Evans in Fremont. Thelma was a housewife and raised her family. They moved around with Ernies work before returning to Columbus in the late 50s. Thelma worked at Dale Electronics for several years, for Big Joe Siedlik, and at Steve and Dales Plumbing. She loved doing crafts and sewing. Thelma was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was very active. She belonged to a garden club, book club, and several Bridge clubs. Thelma was a surgery hostess at the hospital and helped with Meals on Wheels.

Son Jon C. Evans of Columbus
Daughter Joy (Michael) Shanahan of Columbus
Son Jef S. (Carol) Evans of Columbus
8 Grandchildren: Jayana Giovani, Nicholas Evans, Meghan Camp, Dylan Evans, Alison Kitt, Joe Evans, Paige Hanson, and Patrick Shanahan.
