Thaddeus &Quot;Ted&Quot; Swirczek Sr

Thaddeus "Ted" B. Swirczek, Sr., 86, of Columbus died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday; November 17, 2003 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. The Rev. Del Lape will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday after 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a Vigil service at 7:00 pm Sunday, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues Monday morning from 8-10 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.

Ted B. Swirczek was born April 30, 1917 in Fullerton, Nebraska to Joseph and Anna (Warholoski-Hebda) Swirczek. He grew up in Fullerton and Columbus where he graduated from Kramer High School in 1935. While in high school, he was a member of the National Honor Society. He married Genevieve Jarosz on June 24, 1941 at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. Ted was the owner and operator of Ted's Tavern "Ted's Tea Room". He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus-Council #938 and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse racing and playing cards.
