Sylvester Placzek

Sylvester Placzek age 76 of Columbus died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Mory's Haven in Columbus. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2006 at the McKown Funeral Home. The Rev. Del Lape will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard.

Sylvester Placzek was born June 11, 1929 in Duncan, Nebraska to Joseph and Berniece (Kozak) Placzek. He received his education at District #32 near Fullerton, Nebraska. He served in the United Sates Army from 1951- 1953. He farmed for a period of time and worked at Mid America Packing House in Omaha. He retired in 1991.
