Steven Dohmen, age 66 of Columbus, died Thursday, April 23, 2026, at his home.

Celebration of Life is 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at McKown Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home.

Steve Dohmen, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and dedicated truck driver, passed away peacefully. He lived his life with one clear purpose: to make sure his family was cared for and had every opportunity for a better life.

He spent many years working as a truck driver, providing tirelessly for those he loved. Above all else, he cherished his role as a husband and grandpa, always putting his family first and finding joy in the time he spent with them.

He is survived by his mother Sharon Dohmen, his loving wife Jami Dohmen; his sons, Jesse Schumacher, Auston Smith, and Coby Smith; Brothers Tom (Twila) Dohmen, Jeff (Jenny) Dohmen, Vincent (Kathy) Dohmen, and Kevin Dohmen. Sister-in-law Cece. 15 grandchildren will continue to carry on his legacy.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Justin Dohmen and Dominick Dohmen; his father, Vincent Dohmen; and his brother, Darrell Dohmen.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love for his family.
