Sr. M. Ann Wemhoff OSF, age 75, of Colorado Springs died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 while visiting her brother in Moberly, Missouri. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. The Rev. Dave Fulton will officiate. There will be a vigil service 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in rural Humphrey. The family will be meeting at the church 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
The daughter of Theodore and Mary (Wieser) Wemhoff, she was born Nov. 2, 1932, in Humphrey. She was received into the congregation of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration Sept. 3, 1948, and made her final profession Aug. 13, 1956.
She lived her religious ministry as a teacher, liturgist and parish minister in various schools and parishes in Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota and Indiana. From 1977-2002 she lived in Ople, Germany while serving on the General Leadership Team of the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Francis. From 2002 to the present time, she served as Archivist for the Community.
Survivors include brothers, Bill of Winstead, Minn., Vincent (Leila) of Moberly, Mo., Gerard (Marce) of Papillion, and Ray (Lenora) of Humphrey; sisters, Margaret (Bill) Broadgate of Lincoln, Fay Krings of Humphrey, Theresa (Hal) Hensle of El Cajon, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
