Sophia died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Mory's Haven in Columbus.
Sophia Laska was born November 18, 1915 in Sherman County, Nebraska to Joseph and Bernice (Kozak) Placzek. She moved to Duncan, Nebraska at age 11. Sophia worked at Dale Electronics for a few years before having to quit and take care of her mother. On October 6, 1973 she was united in marriage to Phillip J. Laska at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Sophia was a member of St. Anthony Church and St. Theresa Sodality.
