Shirley Ellen Farrar, 71, of Columbus died Friday, February 8, 2008 at Bryan LGH-East in Lincoln. There will be no services.
Shirley was born July 5, 1936 in Newman Grove, NE to Leslie and Ellen (Thompson) Homan. She married Duane Farrar in 1957. Shirley was a homemaker and worked at Dale Electronics and Brady Co. in Milwaukee, WI. She also worked at Deano's Diner, the Holiday Inn, and Behlen Mfg.
Shirley is survived by daughters, Sharon Bures and Charlotte Sneed of Columbus, Susan Sandoval of Fresno, CA; sons Mike, David, and Daryll of Columbus; brother Don Homan of St. Edward; sisters, Betsy Parr of Holly Springs, MS, Laura Homan of Kearney, Carol Smith of Ravenna, and Julie Laniers of Washington State and ten Grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband and her parents; brothers, Leal, James, and Gene; sisters Edith Benordan and Beth Thomas.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
