Sharon Roberts

Sharon Roberts, age 86, died Friday, March 7, 2025, at Emerald Care & Rehab in Columbus.

Funeral Services are 11:00 a.m. March 17, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. Visitation is March 17 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial is in Columbus Cemetery.

Sharon Odette Roberts was born July 26, 1938, to Pete and Mildred Scott.  She was the youngest of three sisters, Mary Ann and Loretta.  They lived on a rented farm north of Sweetwater, NE.  Sharon graduated from Ravenna High Schol in 1955.  She worked for Bankers Life Insurance in Lincoln for several years.  Sharon married Larry Roy in Ravenna in 1960 and three children were born to this union, Mark, Diane, and Cari.  Larry died in 1981.  Sharon worked at Rinder Printing for many years in Grand Island.  In 1985, Sharon married Carl Roberts who had four boys, Craig, Chris, Cory and Curtis.  She moved to Columbus in 1986 on an acreage west of Columbus.  Sharon worked at Real Life of Columbus for 4 years then ventured into real estate as a realtor.  Between the two families she had 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  She loved each and every one of them.

Sharon's hobbies included quilting, sewing, her dogs, and camping.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
