Sarah Elizabeth Wong was born in Columbus, Nebraska, to John and Carolyn (Steele) Lippert. She earned her degree in English and her teaching certification from Wayne State College in 1998, and taught at the middle and high school levels across Nebraska, Kansas, and California. During her time as a high school English teacher in Manhattan, Kansas, she met Frederick D. Wong, a U.S. Army officer assigned to nearby Fort Riley and on March 16, 2002, they married. Together they raised one daughter, Cassandra. A military spouse, she was an active member of the Protestant Women of the Chapel towards supporting the community and displayed the grace and strength of an Army wife and Christian mother while her husband was deployed overseas.
A lifelong reader, Beth had a passion for literature, science fiction, fantasy, and the arts. More specifically, Beth developed a love for paper crafting cards and designing scrapbooks to remember the events and people she loved and cared for. To this day, her friends and family still happily recall the paper crafting fellowship events hosted in their home during their time stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Since moving to Omaha, Nebraska, in the summer of 2015, Beth and her family started attending St. Thomas Lutheran Church services in June 2016 and soon joined the congregation as members. Beth would go on to serve in the Quilter's Guild and participate in Grace's Place, along with enjoying various FISH Friends events with her husband.
She is survived by her husband Frederick and daughter Cassandra, her parents, John and Carolyn Lippert, her sister, Rachel (Lippert) Sokol, uncles and aunts, cousins, and a nephew.
