Sandra Sutton

Sandra Sutton, age 82, died Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Prairie Village in Columbus.

Memorial services are Friday, November 8, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Columbus. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with the service to follow at 10:30. Interment is in Roselawn Cemetery.

Sandra Sutton was born on June 20, 1942, to Ernest and Helen (Nichols) Bird in Ashland, Kansas. She grew up in Kansas and graduated from Smith Center High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Gary Sutton. And per Gary, SHE was the one who asked him on the first date. On June 19, 1962, the couple was united in marriage in Smith Center, Kansas.
Sandra loved music, reading and bowling. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Sandra stayed active in her community and also enjoyed attending and being a part of the First Baptist Church in Columbus.
