Ruth Stillinger, age 90, of Genoa, Nebraska formerly of Columbus, Nebraska died Wednesday September 12, 2001 at the Genoa Long Term Care. Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday September 15, 2001 at Highland Park Evangelical Free Church in Columbus with Reverend Mike Neely officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.
Visitation is from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. There will be an Eastern Star Service at 7:00 p.m. Friday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Ruth Stillinger was born May 14, 1911 in Valley County, Nebraska to John and Mayme (Reynolds) Mace. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She married Martin C. Nelson November 2, 1930 in Aurora, Nebraska On August 31, 1935 Ruth was united in marriage to Adolph Gebhardt in Omaha, Nebraska. She later married Fred Stillinger in June of 1955. Ruth lived in Omaha and Rock Island, Illinois before moving to Columbus in 1953. In 1957 she moved to Phoenix, Arizona & lived there for 19 years before returning to Columbus. She was a homemaker, seamstress, a 50 year member of Eastern Star, past member of the Eagles Club, & a member of Highland Park Evangelical Free Church.
She is survived by:
Daughter: Dona L. Ridenour of Columbus, Nebraska
Four Grandchildren: Jay Ridenour, Randi Yates, Scott Ridenour, Tami (Bud) Osantowski
Six Great Grandchildren: Clayton (Renee) Ridenour, Kerry O'Kane, Joshua Bruton, Holly Ridenour, John Osantowski, Christina Osantowski
