Rosmund F. Paprocki of Columbus died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Meridian Gardens Assisted Living.
Mr. Paprocki was born January 20th, 1922 at rural Tarnov. He was the 7th of 8 children born to John and Constance (Lassek) Paprocki. He graduated from the 8th grade at St Michaels Grade School in Tarnov. Mr. Paprocki entered the military, November 4th, 1942. He was Honorably discharged February 6th, 1946 from the U.S. Army Air Corps with the rank of Private 1st Class. During his service he was a heavy bomber mechanic working on B-17s and B-29s, serving stateside during World War II. After the war he resided and farmed near Tarnov with his brother, John, until their retirement in 1989. At this time they moved to Columbus. Mr. Paprocki enjoyed and was quite knowledgeable in World History and American Politics. He also enjoyed having coffee at the Tarnov elevator and other places with his friends. Mr. Paprocki was a member of St Bonaventure Catholic Church and American Legion Post 84 of Columbus.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Rose, Evelyn and Alice, and brothers Michael, Dennis, Heliodore (Dores) and John.
