Rosemary Zuerlein Moore

Rosemary C. (Preister) Zuerlein Moore of Columbus, Nebraska entered into eternal rest on November 22, 2024.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10:30, all at St. Isidore Catholic Church. A private burial will be held at St. Bonaventure cemetery.  All funeral guests are welcome to go to Wunderlich's after the mass and the family will join them for lunch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to St. Isidore's Church

Rosemary grew up on a farm in Cornlea, Nebraska and married Sylvester Zuerlein in 1951. The couple had seven children and raised their family in Columbus, attending St. Bonaventure Church. In 1971, Rosemary became the Receiving Clerk at The Blue Bird Dress Shop. Later she used her sewing skills and did alterations for the store. Rosemary continued to sew and work independently doing alterations from her home.

Rosemary enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, sewing, cooking, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. In 1999, Rosemary married Joe Moore, and the couple enjoyed family gatherings and travel in their later years.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Clara (Magsamen) Preister, her brothers Cyril and Alphonse Preister, her sister Mary Lou Finkral, her husband Sylvester Zuerlein, her husband Joe Moore, her daughters Julie Grace, Deb Schraer and Connie Schneider and her son Joe Zuerlein.

She is survived by her brother Gerard (Ramona) Preister, Gilbert (Sylvia) Preister, and sister Mildred Ludden, her son Pete Zuerlein (Karen), her daughters Peg Graf (Tim), Mary Emanuel (Brad), Son in laws Bruce Schneider and Ron Schraer.  Daughter in law Cindy Zuerlein  along with 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
