Rose died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the David Place in David City, Nebraska.

Rose Josephine Theresa Olson was born April 29, 1923 in Platte County, Nebraska to John and Sophie (Rouks) Kosiba. She attended school in Platte and Colfax Counties. While in school she received a certificate for her entry in the Omaha World Herald state wide spelling bee. Rose married George D. Olson on February 10, 1948 in Omaha. She was devoted wife and mother. Rose was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and St. Bonaventure Guild. She enjoyed making a variety of cookies for Christmas and shared them with relatives, friends and the priests at St. Bonaventure Church. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, polka and country western music.

She is survived by:
Daughter: Constance (Lon) DuQuette of Costa Mesa, CA
Son: George J. Olson of Lincoln, NE
Grandson: Jean-Paul Lafayette (Miwa) DuQuette of Osaka, Japan
Great Grandson: Alexander Kazuki DuQuette of Osaka, Japan

She was preceded in death by:

Parents: John and Sophie Kosiba
Husband: George D. Kosiba
