Ronald J. Urkoski

Ron passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Columbus.

Ronald Joseph Urkoski was born on March 8th 1942 in Genoa NE to Andrew and Barbara (Zoucha) Urkoski. He attended Nance County Country School and graduated from Clarks High School in 1960. He farmed after graduation and married Jeanette Dubas on April 20th 1963. To this union was born four children, Randy, Annette, Ronda, and Jason. Ron spent his life farming and working for CO-OP elevator in Silver Creek NE. He loved fishing, camping, Avalanche hockey, Nebraska volleyball, and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Silver Creek,NE; his children, Randy (Theresa) of Seward, NE; Annette (Mike) McClellen of Papillion, NE; Ronda (Darrin) Engleman of LaVista, NE; Jason (Tara) of Silver Creek, NE. Grandchildren Matthew (Alejandra) of Denver, CO; Chris, Noah, and Zac Urkoski of Seward, NE; Roni and Michaela McClellen of Papillion, NE; Ally and Haley Engleman of LaVista, NE; Jamison, Korbe, and Tate Urkoski of Silver Creek, NE; Sisters Shirley (Don)Sock of Norfolk, NE; Evelyn (Wayne) Wondercheck of Fullerton, NE; Brothers Gene (Phyllis) Urkoski of Silver Creek, NE; Alan (Pat) Urkoski of Clarks, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Barbara (Zoucha) Urkoski.
