Ronald Ternus

Ronald J. Ternus, age 79, of Columbus died Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Columbus.

Ronald J. Ternus was born December 8, 1931 in Humphrey, Nebraska to George and Ella (Widhalm) Ternus. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1949. He helped farm in the area until entering the United States Army. Ronald served from June 24, 1952 until May 24, 1954. Upon his discharge he returned to the Humphrey area where he farmed. On May 9, 1959 Ronald was united in marriage to Adeline Zoucha at St. John's Catholic Church in rural Lindsay. The couple lived northeast of Humphrey until moving to Columbus in 1992. He worked at Dale/Vishay for few years. Ronald was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, American Legion and served for many years on the Humphrey Public School Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
