Ronald Sliva of Columbus died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at his home.
Ronald J. Sliva was born November 2, 1949 in Columbus to Phillip and Geraldine (Morgan) Sliva. He attended St. Bonaventure Grade School and graduated from Columbus High School in 1968. Ron entered the US Army and served in Vietnam. On September 29, 1972 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Schmidt at St. Josephs Church in Platte Center. Ron worked for 20 years at CAMACO in the welding department. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Ron was an avid sports fan who loved horse racing and the Huskers. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
