Ronald died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at his home near Monroe, Nebraska.

Ronald C. Elsner was born on December 19, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska to Velma (Eschliman) and Eugene Elsner. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1976. Immediately after high school Ron went into the Army and was stationed in many places, including Germany and Pusan, South Korea. Once back in the states, Ron married his first wife, Sue Elsner, with whom he had a son. During this time he worked Security. Years later he met Kathleen (Kindler) Elsner and they were wed on July 1, 1988. Ron and Kathleen shared a love of nature and spent a large amount of their time fishing and camping. Ron also enjoyed hunting, Nascar, building/rigging things with his hands, watching The Christmas Story repeatedly, and goofballing with his grandchildren. Ron recently became a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and will always be known for his strength and love of life and family.

Step-Daughter: Jennifer (Eddie) Price of West Point, NE
Step-Daughter: Nicole (Ricardo) Sandoval of David City, NE
Grandchildren: Kyllee Fix, Shaylin Fix, Jazlynn Kaup, Caleb Price, Zerek Price, Tavin Price, DeAndrea Rivera, Andrew Rivera, Gavin Payton, and Daliah Kobus.

Sister: Connie Elsner of Arkansas
Brother: Darrell (Joyce) Elsner of Platte Center, NE
Brother: Randy Elsner of Norfolk, NE
