Ronald Cyza of Columbus died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Columbus Community Hospital.
Ronald John Cyza was born June 23, 1940 in Genoa, Nebraska to Lonny and Julia (Czarnick) Cyza. He grew up near Columbus and Duncan. He graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus. Ron served in the United States Army Reserves from 1962-1968. He married Yvonne Wruble on February 15, 1969 in Clarks, Nebraska. He was employed for 8 years by Overland Sand & Gravel . In 1969, he formed Cyza Brothers Sand & Gravel with his brothers Vergel and Jerome. He spent 40 years hauling gravel and farming. He served on the Rural Duncan Fire Protection Board for 25 years and served as president the last 10 years. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church-Pilzno for 68 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Vergel Cyza and Jerome Cyza, sister: Marcy Konz, son-in-law: SPC Blake C. Kelly
