Roger Woodrick

Roger Woodrick, 79, of Columbus died Thursday October 23, 2025 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home. There will be a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning 9:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Roselawn Cemetery with military honors by The American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are suggested to be designated at a later date.

Roger was born December 29,1945 in Columbus, Nebraska to Raymond and Ruth (Mitchell) Woodrick. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1964. Roger then attended Kearney State College and later graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He served in the Army from 1969-1971 serving in Vietnam. He was married to Patricia "Patsy" Waite for 47 years. Roger worked at Drews Tire, later known as Columbus Tire, for many years. He enjoyed all sports, including horse racing, football, basketball and playing poker with the western crowd. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Grandchildren: Christian Badje, Justin Roark, Jordan Roark, Gregory Ryan

Great Granddaughter: Makiyah Roark

Sister: Bonnie (Gary) Janssen

Sister: Mary (Larry) Honke

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Reye Jean Timmer and Brenda Graves.
