Roger Peterson

Roger E. Peterson, age 46 of Columbus died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at his home following a 2 year battle with cancer. Visitation will be Friday 5-7 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday evening March 24, 2006 at the McKown Funeral Home.

The family invites everyone to attend a gathering at the Eagles (3205 12 St., west entrance) immediately following the prayer service as a celebration of Roger's life. Food and beverage will be provided.

Roger was born December 30, 1959 in Tilden, Nebraska to Richard and JoAnn (Walters) Peterson. He received his early education in the Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Columbus High School in 1977. Roger was married to Linda Hughes in 1984. He attended welding school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He returned to Columbus before moving to Denver where he worked as a welder. He again returned to Columbus where he worked at Becton-Dickinson before moving to Phoenix where he worked at Graham Packaging. In July 2005 Roger returned to Columbus where he has lived since.

Roger was an avid sport and movie fan. He had an unmatched zest for life, love for his children and the ability to make people laugh.
