Rodney Jacobson, age 85, of Columbus, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 in Columbus.
David Rodney Emmanuel Jacobson was born August 9, 1926 in Boone County, Nebraska near Bradish to Wallace Howard and Kathryn (Green) Jacobson. He was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church-rural St. Edward. He graduated from Newman Grove High School in 1943. He served in United States Army during World War II. Rodney married Ula Jensen on October 11, 1945 in St. Edward. He worked at Behlen Manufacturing for 29 years in the research and field service departments. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid duplicate bridge player, obtaining the rank of life master.
