Robin Trent Perry, age 70, of Shelby, Nebraska, passed away on August 9th, 2026.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 Thursday at the church. Visitation will continue Friday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial is in the Shelby Cemetery.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
Robin was born on June 16, 1956, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Willard (Kent) and Ortha (Watts) Perry. He was raised with the values of hard work, perseverance, and dedication that would guide him throughout his life.
Robin was united in marriage on October 14, 1978, to Colleen Boss at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus, Nebraska where they are still members.
Robin spent his entire working career farming in the Shelby, Nebraska area, retiring in 2017. He took great pride in his work and was known for his determination and willingness to do things his own way.
Above all else, Robin cherished his family. He was deeply devoted to his wife, Colleen, and immensely proud of his sons, Nathan and Matthew. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren, and he treasured every opportunity to be with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the campground where many memories were made.
Robin had a great sense of humor and enjoyed giving people a hard time, often receiving just as much in return. Whether through a quick joke, playful banter, or friendly teasing, he had a way of connecting with people that left lasting memories and plenty of stories to share.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen (Boss) Perry of Shelby, Nebraska; his son Nathan (Danae) Perry and grandchildren Harper and Hudson Perry, all of Central City, Nebraska; and his son Matthew (Kelly) Perry and grandchildren Ezekiel, Ezra, and Everett Perry, all of Shelby, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard (Kent) and Ortha Perry; his brother, Rick Perry; and his in-laws, Louis and Adele Boss.
Robin will be remembered for his love for his family, dedication to farming, his practical nature, and his belief in making the most of what you had. His legacy lives on through the family he loved, the values he instilled, and the many memories shared by those who knew him.
