Robert P. Loshbaugh, age 83, of Columbus, Nebraska died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral Services are 10:00 AM Wednesday at Federated Church in Columbus with Rev. Nancy Idenden officiating. Visitation is from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday and from 8:30 AM until service time Wednesday all at the Federated Church. Burial is at Columbus Cemetery with Military Honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to Columbus Community Hospital or the Scotus Technology Fund
Robert P. Loshbaugh was born May 1, 1921 in Columbus to George & Eva (Gregorious) Loshbaugh. Bob graduated from Kramer High School in 1939. He served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II. On December 31, 1942 Bob married Eleanor Van Berg in Las Vegas, Nev. Bob owned and operated the Columbus Sales Pavillion. He was a member of Hartman Post #84 American Legion and VFW Post 3704. He was on the Board of Directors of First National Bank, member of the Elks Country Club, the Livestock Marketing Association, Southwest Montana Marketing Association, O.F.C., and Grace Episcopal Church. He was a pilot and an avid golfer.
