Robert "Bob" H. Clausen of Columbus died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha.
Robert Bob Henry Clausen was born November 17, 1940 in Columbus to Henry and Margaret (Erwin) Clausen. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Bob graduated from Columbus/Kramer High School in 1958. On April 8th, 1961, he was united in marriage to Connie Berchtold at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They were blessed with 50 years of marriage and 3 daughters; Carol, Lisa, and Jennifer.
Bob was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee, elder, and Chairman of the Congregation. He was a past member of the Shell Creek (former District #10) School Board, Lakeview Board, and E.S.U. #7. He was also on the NE FFA Foundation Board, NE State FFA Alumni Council, and Lakeview FFA Alumni. Bob also served on Loup Public Power Board.
Bob enjoyed Husker football and was a very enthused sports fan. He enjoyed his grandchildren, helping them with 4-H projects.
Bob had his own construction business from 1966 until he retired in 2010. He farmed and had livestock on the farm that his paternal grandparents bought in 1898 where he has lived the past 19 years.
