Robert Grimes, age 63 of Columbus, died Saturday, December 3, 2005 on the Loup River, near Columbus, Nebraska. There will be a visitation Thursday, December 8 from 3-6 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home.
Robert B. Grimes was born December 4, 1941 in Columbus, Nebraska to Lowell and Ruth (Brown) Grimes. He grew up in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 1960. He worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Road before entering the United States Army in 1962. Upon his discharge in 1964 he returned to the Department of Roads where he worked until his retirement. Bob was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying duck hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his brother Keith Grimes of Florida
