Robert Dush

Robert Dush of Duncan died Saturday, September 23, 2023 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Friday, September 29 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan.  Visitation is on Thursday from 5-7 pm with a 7:00 pm Vigil, all at the Church.  Visitation continues Friday morning from 9:30 am until service time.  Interment is in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Robert was born on September 12, 1939 in Columbus, Nebraska to Steve and Teophelia (Kuta) Dush. He attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and graduated from Duncan High School. He married D'Ette Olson on October 1, 1960 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus, NE.

Robert worked for Behlen MFG in Columbus for 44 years, retiring in October of 2002. He lived in Columbus for two years, then moved in a house by Camp Sheldon. Robert went on to purchase his parents house in 1963 where he continued to live. He enjoyed fishing and hunting pheasants, turkeys, ducks, and geese. Hunting ducks and geese was his favorite. In his spare time he enjoyed wood carving. Over the years he carved gun stocks, turkey and duck calls. Robert belonged to the Holy Name Club at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. He also was a member of the Loup and Platte Duck Club, and Ducks Unlimited.
