Robert Cyza, 78, of Silver Creek died Monday, October 31, 2005 at Bryan LGH-West in Lincoln. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 2 at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek with the Rev. Bev Hieb officiating. Visitation is on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek and continues Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 pm until service time, also at the church. Interment is in the Silver Creek Cemetery.
Robert Cyza was born May 31, 1927 in Fullerton, Nebraska to John and Katherine (Kula) Cyza. He graduated from Fullerton High School in 1945. On April 26, 1951 he was united in marriage to Lorna Powers at St. Lawrence Church in Silver Creek. The couple lived in Albion from 1951-1953 when they moved to Columbus. In 1955 Bob and Lorna started the Snow Top Drive-In which they operated for 21 years. In 1979 he began selling livestock feed. In 1993 they moved to Silver Creek. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church, Columbus Chapter of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. He loved playing the harmonica, spending time with his grandchildren, and traveling to all the family related sporting events regardless of the time, place, or weather.
